Marimekko’s 50 x 50cm Unikko cushion cover features Maija Isola’s iconic floral pattern in light grey and off white. Made from a heavyweight upholstery cotton, this cushion cover has a concealed zipper on one side.

The Unikko pattern came about in 1964 after Armi Ratia, the founder of Marimekko, announced in public that no floral fabrics are designed at Marimekko. Maija Isola, the renowned Finnish designer, did not accept rules or restrictions and designed a complete collection of bold floral patterns in protest: Unikko, a Finnish word that means poppy. Today, Unikko is one of Marimekko's best-known patterns and recognised around the world.
